Shore Educational Collaborative is a vibrant, multi-service organization that supports children and adults with disabilities. Shore’s Adult Services Day Program provides specialized Day Habilitation and Community-Based Day Support (CBDS) services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program is currently seeking to hire a Program Manager at our Woburn location.

Primary responsibilities of a Program Manager include:
- Provide positive leadership and oversight of assigned groups of program participants and the staff who directly support them;
- Ensure that scheduled activities are thoughtfully planned and executed;
- Provide staff with supervision, training and support;
- Maintain safety and program quality compliance;
- Complete case management assignments in a timely fashion;
- Provide direct support to our program participants as needed.
You will work in cooperation with other program managers, interdisciplinary therapists, nurses, staff, and the Program Director to facilitate smooth program operations, a friendly work environment, excellent communication internally among all program staff and externally with participants’ families, residential providers and service coordinators. You’ll have a role in the intake process for new referrals to the program, hiring staff, and ensuring that Shore’s policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to consistently and equitably.
Successful candidates will have:
- At least two years of professional experience with adults with I/DD.
- At least two years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with DHSP/ISP systems, DDS regulations, Positive Behavior Support (PBS), the principles of human rights and advocacy preferred.
- Strong writing and oral communication skills.
- A positive attitude, sense of humor, and the ability to work successfully as part of a team.
- You must have the ability and willingness to work as a member of a supportive team.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, although additional service and supervisory experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Physical requirements for this position include the ability to implement physical behavior management interventions, assist with lifts and transfers, be on your feet for much of the day, and drive program vans.
This is a full time, day time, Monday through Friday position.
