Shore Educational Collaborative was established in 1975 as one of 24 educational collaboratives in Massachusetts, providing public special education to students with disabilities. Over 180 students, aged 3-22, attend our school in Chelsea, receiving a comprehensive education and related services.

Role and Responsibilities:
Shore Educational Collaborative is a multi-service agency providing services for people with disabilities. Our school for students from pre-kindergarten to age 22 is hiring a Health Teacher to work with students in all of our programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan and facilitate Health lessons for PK-Post Secondary students ages 3-22 with disabilities that are aligned with State Frameworks and National Health Education Standards.
- Teach skills necessary to provide understanding and appreciation of health and wellness.
- Adapt and modify the Health curriculum and differentiate instruction, by using scaffolded instructional material, inclusive practices and SEI strategies, to meet the needs of all students.
Current DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities and/or appropriate subject matter. Candidates who are close to licensure, who are eligible for licensure, who have a different DESE license and are willing to pursue the appropriate licensure, and unlicensed candidates with experience will be considered.
